What are Chemical peels and how can they transform your skin?
Chemical Peels in short, are a controlled chemical exfoliation to reveal fresh new skin. So how does this help our skin? The skin renews itself on average every 28 days. However, as we age, this process slows down and it takes longer for healthy new skin cells to reveal themselves.
Professional grade Chemical exfoliation consists of applying acids that dissolve the bonds between dead cells and the skin, without having to apply any friction. This way, we reach the deeper layers of the skin and achieve longer-lasting results, encouraging remodelling and regeneration, in turn resulting in improvement of skin texture and surface irregularities such as scarring, pigmentation, dull and lacklustre complexions and fine lines and wrinkles.
The beauty of chemical peels is that they are suitable for any skin type and relatively quick with minimal downtime.
For optimal results we strongly recommend a course of 3 - 6 Chemical peels two - four weeks apart, followed with yearly maintenance treatments. Here at SKN Lab Aesthetics we use Professional skincare formulas from Mesoetetic®

During your consultation we will also advise you of the specific homeware products vital to delivering your results. Skincare results are not determined with a singular in clinic treatment, it starts with home treatment and maintenance.
